Junior Graphic Designer JOB SUMMARY
The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting the marketing team in creating visually appealing and effective designs that meet our institutions needs. The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to learn and develop design skills while also having the opportunity to work on your own projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop concepts and designs for print and digital media including ads brochures website graphics social media graphics billboard designs video graphics promotional materials institutional signs and more.
- Assist in the creation of designs that are visually appealing and effective in communicating information to our target audience.
- Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion while ensuring deadlines and brand consistency.
- Modify and revise existing designs to meet institutional guidelines or to improve design quality.
- Assist with photo editing retouching and formatting as needed.
- Help maintain a library of digital assets ensuring accessibility and version control.
- Stay updated with industry trends emerging technologies and design innovations to keep designs current and competitive.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Graphic Designer or their designee.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelors degree in graphic design or related field.
- 12 years of relevant experience in a design role.
- Knowledge of design trends and principles.
- A strong portfolio showcasing design skills and projects.
Required knowledge skills and abilities - Display proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Lightroom Illustrator InDesign etc.) Microsoft Office 365 and Canva
- Basic understanding of print and web design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take direction and work independently.
- Creative Thinker attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Display professionalism for the college in all communication and interaction.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.

- May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices conference rooms and on occasion to offcampus sites to attend meetings conferences workshops seminars etc.
- May require significant travel or work away from campus.
- Requires attendance at events representing ACHE both within as well as outside of the college setting.
- Frequently required to work at a desk conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
- Frequently required to see for purposes of reading matter.
- Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Occasionally required to lift items in a normal office environment.
- Frequently required to operate office and presentation equipment.
