We are a leading provider in both the solid and liquid propulsion market areas as well as the number one provider in the tactical segment area of solid propulsion.
L3Harris is looking for a Sr. Production and Materials Planning Supervisor to lead Planners covering various programs at the Huntsville facility. Primary job role consist of supervising a team of 10 employees responsible for all planning production control and production scheduling across multiple contracts while utilizing the MRP/ERP systems. This position may require overtime weekend holiday and/or second shift work.
Essential Functions:
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP/MRP Systems
- Responsible for the management of the MRP output for the facility to manage production and development requirements by utilizing our ERP system (Oracle) to meet internal and external customer delivery dates.
- Ability to understand production scheduling and the effects it has on operations and the supply chain.
- Established analytical skills focused on the ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems
- Manage adhoc projects selected by the organization with minimal supervision
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization on sound scheduling and material planning practices
- Ability to lead a team and direct the work of others
- Ability to recognize the potential in others and mentor coach and facilitate their development to maximize growth and application of talents for the benefit of the organization and the individual.
- Developing training and metrics to help their team improve in all areas of their job roles
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Capable of functioning in a highly technical environment dealing with a wide variety of communication types and products in a demanding resultsdriven atmosphere
- Capable of addressing significant workload challenges without sacrificing quality requirements
