The Accelerator Program Manager (APM) role requires a selfstarting highly motivated wellrounded person passionate to continue learning new skills while supporting Miller Center projects related to accelerator operations. The APM is an active member of the accelerator programs and mentor team and is the primary contact point for social entrepreneurs actively participating in accelerator programs.
The APM position also interfaces with other Miller Center staff alumni social entrepreneurs partner organizations and funders under guidance of the more experienced members of the team. The APM has the ability to adjust priorities as needed and shows a positive attitude towards acquiring and developing skills and expertise.
Accelerator Programs Recruitment Process Coordination (5%)
Coordinate operational and administrative aspects of accelerator recruitment processes with direction from Program Directors and Senior Directors. Includes support in recruitment selection onboarding management and followup efforts. Independently respond to recruitment inquiries from social entrepreneurs mentors and other stakeholders.
Contribute to and participate in developing innovations of the recruitment processes to align with program recruitment goals
Coordinate the automation of recruitment processes and their adaption into Miller Centers Salesforce database applying Agile principles and tools to support continuous improvement of the recruitment processes
Accelerator Program Management (45%)
Independently manage operational and administrative aspects of Miller Centers Accelerator (MCA) core programs with input from Senior Program Managers Program Directors and Senior Directors. Includes selection of cohorts and primary management of onboarding kick off curriculum assignment weekly followup and troubleshooting efforts. Respond to inquiries from social entrepreneurs mentors and other stakeholders.
Work with the recruitment and mentor teams to identify set track and meet annual objectives and key results (OKRs) related to accelerator programs.
Other duties as they emerge from process improvements and troubleshooting activities
Process Automation and Improvement (30%)
Creates and executes process improvements for programrelated projects assigned to them (e.g. creation of document control processes redesign of communications materials creation of new marketing collateral to improve the SE and Mentors experiences in an accelerator cohort)
Develop and enhance Agile processes for the Programs and mentor Team coordinating regular team meetings on process improvements and integration with Miller Centers SalesForce database.
Track current performance and efficiency with an eye towards selective process automation.
Maintenance and upkeep of Salesforce and other systems
Data visualization
Report writing and creation of presentations for internal and external uses
Support Miller Centers fundraising efforts as needed.
Miller Center Key Events (20%)
Oversee and implement key events related to Miller Center Accelerator Programs (i.e. closing gratitude ceremonies)
Provides work direction to student employees. Works cooperatively with other Miller Center staff SCU faculty and global partners. Leads crossfunctional teams to ensure successful program delivery and funder satisfaction.
Identifies and determines cause of problems; develops and presents recommendations for improvement of established processes and practices. Maintains contact with stakeholders and solicits feedback for improved services and collaboration. Maximizes productivity through use of appropriate tools; planned training and performance initiatives. Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow. Prepares and submits reports as requested and required.

Experience living or traveling in the developing world is helpful but not required.

Skilled in project management
Able to conduct research and synthesize findings as required.
Strong writing skills.
Comfortable producing professional work products in Microsoft Office and GSuite.
Able to communicate in language(s) spoken by Miller Center stakeholders desired (especially French and/or Spanish) but not required.
Able to follow established processes and procedures.
Strong attention to detail.
Able to work independently balance competing priorities and seek guidance from other staff members when appropriate.
Able to acquire skills and any necessary credentials during employment with minimal support and guidance.
