National Gastroenterology Account Managers will be responsible for facilitating contracting account management and coordination primarily for largest IBD infusion provider accounts across the nation. National GAMs will provide appropriate insights to internal stakeholders and help support infusion providers with product acquisition education and account management; creating protocols that will be pulled through at the local site level. GAMs will engage and develop business relationships with key decisionmakers including but not limited to Csuite Operations Directors Pharmacy Directors and Business Managers. This dynamic and critical role requires an established leader with proven capabilities in the IV/Injectable buyandbill market and other areas of the pharmaceutical and health care industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maximize site of care (SOC) opportunities in accordance with product labeling strategic imperatives and Company policies
- Lead and ensure coordination and communication across all parties involved in building SOC networks at the national/regional level. Coordinate with local gastroenterology account managers to pullthru strategies
- Responsible for integrating rapid changes in the customer landscape and changes in contracting approaches. Implementing approved contracting strategies to achieve goals consistent with AbbVie objectives and policies
- Collaborate cross functionally to act as a liaison between AbbVie and customer decision makers to assist the execution of contracts consistent with established enterprisewide policies procedures and guidelines.
- Assist contract processes by compiling information for contracts and working in coordination with centralized pricing committee and finance group
- Identify evaluate develop monitor partnerships/business plans within the designated customer/partner accounts to align with defined objectives
- Responsible for developing and growing relationships with appropriate individuals within the accounts to meet the business needs of the customer/partner and AbbVie through a collaborative approach while driving results
- Develop a strong alliance with fieldbased colleagues to ensure the appropriate level of crossfunctional support for customers within a defined geography and for developing and executing pullthrough strategies
- Develop and deliver business presentations/reviews to customers/partners based on mutual needs/benefits. Review performance and communicate account performance broadly with key stakeholders
- Understand health care issues/strategies customer issues/trends and best practices to establish credibility beyond product and therapeutic areas. Identify business case to support in coordination with Trade & Market Access team when is determined to be the appropriate course of action
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical industry experience required
- Minimum of 4 years experience with market access/site of care customer segments and reimbursement (commercial and government payers billing/coding) with infused products required
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A B C D and knowledge of commercial insurance reimbursement
- Understanding and familiarity with hospital and community clinic billing and reimbursement processes
- Gastroenterology and infused specialty product launch experience
- Extensive experience in buyandbill contracting account management or similar analogue
- Recent launch experience with infused products preferred but not required.
- Previous experience with corporate level account planning
- Crossfunctional project management experience Demonstrated crossfunctional team leadership; strong executive presence; established ability to work with diverse individuals customers and teams
- Outstanding oral written and presentation communication skills
- Valid drivers license: Ability to pass a preemployment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements.
- Driving a personal auto or company car or truck or a powered piece of material handling equipment

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
