Job Description

AECOM is looking to hire an EInvoicing Project Lead to spearhead our global einvoicing and ereporting implementation initiatives. As einvoicing and ereporting models continue to proliferate worldwide this is an exceptional opportunity to lead businesscritical tax compliance projects across multiple jurisdictions.

 The ideal candidate will have extensive indirect tax expertise with a focus on einvoicing technologies processes and regulatory frameworks. You will serve as the bridge between tax technical requirements and technology implementation ensuring seamless compliance with rapidly evolving regulatory landscapes. This role requires a blend of tax expertise leadership skills and project management capabilities to ensure the organization transitions smoothly to electronic invoicing. The Project Lead will work closely with various departments including IT S2P O2C and finance to optimize processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reconciliations to Tax Returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of the einvoicing system and process from inception to completion. Develop detailed project plans timelines and budgets. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely and withinbudget delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders including O2C S2P IT and finance to gather requirements address concerns and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Facilitate communication and collaboration between all parties involved.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance on einvoicing and ereporting. Ensure the system is integrated seamlessly with existing ERP and accounting systems. Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with finance to analyze current invoicing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency accuracy and compliance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the einvoicing system complies with relevant regulations and standards. Collaborate with other Tax team members to ensure einvoicing ties back to VAT Compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the implementation process and develop mitigation strategies. Maintain a risk register and update it regularly.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS plus at least 8 years of relevant VAT/ Indirect tax or Finance experience with at least 4 years focused on einvoicing implementations across multiple regions including LATAM or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Oracle) and einvoicing platforms (e.g. PEPPOL EDICOM PAGERO)
  • Demonstrated experience leading einvoicing projects or related tax technology initiatives with a strong understanding of processes and controls
  • Strong experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau PowerBI Data Integrity)
  • Ability to support multiple ongoing projects in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience with SharePoint and/or Power Automate
  • Project Management Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Economics Tax Finance and/or Accounting Information Systems
  • Machine Learning AI RPA Experience
  • Project Management certification PMP Six Sigma LEAN Certified
  • Relevant tax certification
  • Alteryx Certification
  • SQL or other database experience
  • Vertex O or other Tax Engine Certification
  • Indirect Tax Compliance experience
  • Billing experience or prior billing projects
