Project Manager and Marine 4Stroke Engine Specialist
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager and Marine 4Stroke Engine Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with marine 4stroke engines and will be responsible for providing technical advice to our vessel engineers troubleshooting engine issues and supporting vessel managers with secondlevel support. Additionally the candidate will manage machinery retrofit projects.
The role involves handling and executing projects that range from retrofitting vessels to implementing performanceenhancing ideas and projects. You will be involved in various projects related to machinery and hull incorporating new technologies and compliancerelated retrofits. This position requires periods of short travel where you will join ships or yards for the projects you are involved in. Therefore you need to be flexible with travel and capable of traveling globally subject to normal visa requirements for specific countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and support to our fleet on marine 4stroke auxiliary engine issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to marine 4stroke engines.
- Advise vessel managers and engineers on secondlevel support and technical solutions.
- Handle and oversee machinery retrofit projects ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in marine engine technology and apply best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in marine engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in marine 4stroke auxiliary engines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with machinery retrofit processes and procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in advising and supporting vessel managers and engineers.
- Knowledge of the latest marine engine technologies and trends.
- Project management experience.
