Head of Data (Full time 37 hours per week Permanent)
Location: Contractual base in Salvus House Durham / Pearl House Peterborough with hybrid working opportunities
Salary: Salary will be discussed at interview and includes a discretionary bonus potential of up to 12% of annual salary
Job Level: B
Reporting to: Director of Digital

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
Were seeking a leader to take our integrated data function on the next steps of its journey.
Youll oversee our analytics engineering and governance areas promoting datadriven decisions across Wave. Your role includes driving the strategic vision supporting stakeholders and ensuring data is accessible and accurate.
You will oversee a small but skilled team providing guidance and support.

WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE
Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for data and its use in Wave and work to implement it with your team and colleagues
Prioritise the demand backlog to align with your strategy and business goals.
Manage and mentor your multidisciplinary team including Data Engineers and Data Analysts
Foster a culture of data literacy and continuous learning for actionable insights.
Establish strong crossfunctional relationships to support the needs of Finance Operations and sales departments.
Proactively deliver insight to the business to support the business goals
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU
A strong understanding of cloud platforms and their potential with regard to data and analytics
A clear understanding of data visualization tooling and how it can be used to support business outcomes
Super strong interpersonal skills able to influence at all levels
A proven history of leading data teams and evangelizing the benefits of using data to drive decisions
An understanding of how data should be structured to support accurate and efficient insight
A passion for communicating the work of your team and how data can power Wave
