Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Codirection of projects applied in competitive calls in the context of neuromusculars diseases focusing on fibroadipogenesis and muscle regeneration
- Cosupervision of undergraduate masters and doctoral students.
- Actively seeking funding through public and private calls
- Writing scientific papers and disseminating project results
- Cell culture of humans and mouse cells and cell transfections experiments
- Cell toxicity and cell viability tests
- WB and qPCR analyses
- Immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry techniques
- Microscopy and image analyses
- FAC sorting
- Metabolic studies
- Animal experimentation with mouse models
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- Supported fellows:Must be in possession of doctoral degree. At the call deadline () supported researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full time equivalent experience in research measured from the date that the researcher was in a possession of a doctoral degree and certified by appropriate documents.
- Nationality: Any.
- Mobility: The researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work studies etc.) in the country of the host organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.
- Researchers wishing to reintegrate from a third country must either be based in a third country at the call deadline or have moved directly from a third country to an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country within the last 12 months before the call deadline.
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Priority will be given to candidates with an outstanding record of research achievements and publications.
- Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques is required
- Proven experience with animal modelling handling (mouse or zebrafish) will be a plus.
- Experience in application and writing of articles and research projects will be a plus.
- We are looking for talented innovative and hardworking young scientists who are highly motivated to do research in the field of neuromuscular diseases.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Living allowance: 5990
- Mobility allowance: 710
- Family allowance (if applicable): 660 x % covered by the beneficiary
- Longterm leave allowance (if applicable): 6700
- The selected candidate will be incorporated upon obtaining an MSCAPF2024 or similar fellowship.
- Flexible payment (childminding vouchers).
- 23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters 2 days for Easter 2 days for Christmas .

About us
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
The Institute is associated with one of the major university hospitals in the Barcelona area the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and is part of the Can Ruti biomedical campus. IGTP is a CERCA centre and is also accredited as a centre of excellence by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII) and is in charge of coordinating the management and scientific strategy of the campus working in close collaboration with the other centres.
