Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the ICU setting.
- Conduct thorough medical assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Monitor vital signs and manage patient needs in critical situations.
- Administer medications and implement prescribed medical interventions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist in emergency procedures and respond to critical incidents.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management post-discharge.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as per standards.
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to medical rounds.
- Keep up to date with advancements in ICU protocols and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and interns as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training sessions.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients under stress.
Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- Experience in ICU or critical care environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical procedures and ICU practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in EMR and other healthcare technologies.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Willingness to work long hours and irregular shifts.
- Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of postgraduate medical experience.
- Knowledge of current medical research and advancements in ICU care.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Preparedness to pursue additional specializations or training.
