Job Description
- Retail Award Level 4 position (incl. weekend penalty rates)
- Parttime Permanent position based at our Highton Op Shop
- Bring creative flair to help us achieve our vision
Your new role
Join our team and coordinate our volunteers and daily operations of our Op Shop in Highton. Its a great opportunity to be part of a friendly community its lively and varied! This is a parttime ongoing role working 45.6 hours per fortnight (0.6 EFT)
Our Op Shops team are responsible for bringing their creative flair to create visually appealing and contemporary Op Shops. We encourage and build a culture of productivity imagination innovation change and development. Our Op Shops allow you to tap into your natural way of being creative enthusiastic and having fun.
Our aim is to delight people in a meaningful and memorable way while offering positive customer experiences high level visual merchandising critical stock and space management achieving sales targets and celebrating Unitings culture.

In addition to your base salary of $27.17 per hour plus super and weekend penalty rates (if applicable) you can access the following:
- An extra 17.5% on top of your fortnightly pay when you take paid annual leave
- Ability to increase your takehome pay by accessing up to $15900 in salary packaging benefits which can be used for living expenses such as rent groceries bills clothing and much more
- 10% discount on the childcare subsidy gap fee when using a Uniting Early Learning service or centre.
- 25% discount at Uniting Op Shops.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for fashion and charity retail and have a flair for visual merchandising.
You will ideally have experience in cash handling register operations and closing procedures and be confident in supervising a team as well as working on your own.
You will also be available to work weekends and public holidays sometimes at short notice.
