The McKinneyVento Program Secretary shall support the District McKinneyVento Liaison and eligible families. This role will be responsible for record keeping data collection and reporting for the McKinneyVento Program. Use of independent judgement and decision making is required in matters not having established rules regulations or policies. Communications with students staff and the public require tact and discretion.
Special Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform clerical work with speed and accuracy.
Successful experience working with parents and/or students.
Ability to interpret and apply school laws policies rules and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Ability to prepare district and state reports.
Ability to Carry out and follow oral and written directions.
Demonstrate integrity through ethical behavior and maintaining appropriate boundaries with students and families.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as theBoard may find appropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE Responsibilities:
clerical and secretarial duties typing correspondence printing copying filing etc. including the preparation of materials schedules and agendas.
2. Assists in the preparation of budget documents; maintain records of requisitions and purchase orders; and orders office and school supplies.
case management of homeless students/families and communicate with district and building staff.
4. Conduct community outreach and support liaison with trainings.
5. Oversee homeless education budget.
6. Foster family liaison.
7. Data entry and keyboarding skills.
8. Maintain student personnel financial statistical inventories and other responsible records including insurance accounts lists and forms.
9. Prepares and submits corresponding reports to the central office and education agencies when requested.
10. Communicates with the public staff and students.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
NUMBER OF HOURS PER DAY: 4.0 HOURS PER DAY
NUMBER OF DAYS WORKED PER SCHOOL YEAR: 205 DAYS PER YEAR
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $23.47 $33.03 PER HOUR (RANGE 14)
