The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth expanding the market presence and ensuring brand consistency across all customer touchpoints. The role involves developing a new sales channel and teams in Dar es Salaam Arusha and other regions to acquire new business in terms of products and services to ensure growth targets are met. This role requires strategic thinking strong leadership and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Responsibilities
Sales Responsibilities:
Implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand the customer base.
Develop the broker business channel and direct intermediaries to ensure increased sales penetration through recruiting and training brokers and independent intermediaries supervising and monitoring their performance.
Ensure all products are properly sold by the brokers and independent intermediaries under your management to ensure profitable growth.
Identification of new business opportunities and the development of sales strategies.
Setting budgets/targets for team under supervision and monitoring the same.
Set performance targets for the sales team and monitor progress against goals.
Identify new market segments and business opportunities for expansion.
Design Products and develop new distribution channels to increase penetration.
Produce a Sales Pipeline report indicating prospects and business performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Marketing Responsibilities:
Oversee market research efforts to understand customer needs trends and competitive landscape.
Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital print and event channels
Manage marketing budgets and ensure optimal ROI from all initiatives.
Lead brand positioning efforts and ensure consistency across all platforms and communications.
Develop content and promotional strategies to support product launches and seasonal campaigns.
Analyze the effectiveness of marketing activities and make datadriven recommendations.
Team Management:
Lead train and motivate a sales team to meet individual and departmental KPIs.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members.
Product & Market Intelligence:
Stay informed about industry trends competitor offerings and regulatory changes.
Provide input into product development and pricing strategies based on market feedback.
