Job Description
What youll do as a Senior Software Engineer:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our wholesale team in Sydney / Melbourne. Reporting to Lead Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining the TaaS application suite.
This is a fullstack handson role focused on delivering new features that align with business needs while ensuring best practices and system resilience. You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders follow agile methodologies and build solutions with scalability and reliability in mind.
You will play a key role in designing developing deploying and supporting multiple instances of the TaaS platform ensuring high performance and reliability.

This role includes participation in the teams Level 3 afterhours support roster. However the business is committed to building resilient selfhealing platforms and engineering leadership will allocate time to enhance system stability and automation
Qualifications :
What youll need to succeed:
- Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including algorithms data structures and objectoriented programming (OOP).
- 5 years of professional experience in Java development with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Handson experience with Java 8 including functional programming streams and concurrency.
- Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring (Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Security Spring Data)
- Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Experience working with SQL .
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines version control (Git GitLab/GitHub) and automated testing frameworks (JUnit).
- Strong understanding of security best practices.
- Experience in performance tuning profiling and debugging Java applications.
