Pernod Ricard Hellas a Great Place To Workcertified company is seeking a Head of Accounting to join our Finance team. This is an indefiniteterm contract based at our premises in Athens (Pallini).

In this pivotal role youll lead a skilled accounting team ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting and play a key part in shaping the financial future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the organizations accounting and tax compliance activities including the preparation and submission of tax returns.
• Prepare annual IFRS notes for the financial statements.
• Liaise with external auditors for the annual statutory and tax audits.
• Ensure internal accounting controls are effective and in line with Group policies and procedures.
• Identify tax and accounting gaps and collaborate with external consultants to mitigate potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop a team of 3 accountants providing guidance motivation and fostering a strong team spirit.
• Support the FP&A and Operations teams by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of reported figures.
• Conduct monthly cost accounting and reconcile results with the trial balance.
• Prepare accounting books to ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP system.

The ideal candidate

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• A Masters degree is considered an asset.
• Holder of an A class signatory license.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in a relevant role.
• Proven experience in managing teams is required.
• Previous experience in FMCG Retail or Manufacturing sectors is considered an advantage.
• Indepth knowledge of IFRS.
• Strong expertise in accounting and taxation.
• Experience in ERP transitions and change management.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems; knowledge of Navision is a plus.
• Excellent command of Greek and English both written and spoken.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong business acumen analytical skills and commercial awareness.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and development.
