Job Description

Project Control Office Senior Project Manager

At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) we are seeking a passionate Senior Project Manager to join our dedicated Project Control Officeteam.

Location: Head Office Fitzroy

Job Type: Permanent FullTime working 38hours per week

Salary: $118 800to $123750 per annum based on skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation. (prorata for parttime employment)

About the role

The Project Control Office (PCO) Senior Project Manager ensures that projects align with the organizations strategic goals especially Strategy 2030. They work closely with the BSL leadership team vendors and other subject matter experts to deliver projects that contribute to overall business objectives.

  • Proactively manage and lead crossfunctional organisationwide projects ensuring that they are delivered to align with the Project Management Framework within time and budget
  • Manage the endtoend project timeline from ideation to implementation and post golive hypercare
  • Work closely with Executive and Senior Leadership to identify project needs that align with business objectives
  • Contribute to the formulation and creation of impactful business cases for key strategic initiatives establishing mechanisms to track benefits
  • Lead a number of projects simultaneously developing project plans and related artefacts to determine the duration sequencing and dependencies for the project schedule
  • Develop and maintain relevant and appropriate project management documentation including project schedule plans requirements meeting packs reports risks issues logs variances manuals etc.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Certified in Prince2 PMP (PMI) or CPPM (AIPM) desirable or CPSPM (AIPM)
  • Extensive experience in project management especially larger projects within multifunctional organisations.
  • Possess strong analytical and organisational skills with excellent verbal and written ability.
  • Extensive experience across a wide range of projects and programs demonstrating a track record of successful delivery in transformation settings
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and managing strategic projects from inception to completion to post golive hypercare.
  • A driven and motivated selfstarter with exceptional stakeholder management (customers/stakeholders/sponsors) skills and ability to influence at all levels.
