Job Description

The role

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Solicitor with 3 years PAE to join our Wills & Estates team in our Brisbane office on a permanent basis. You will be part of a dynamic and motivated team with direct Principal access and the opportunity to quickly develop your skills as you take on this next step of your career. Our law firm has a strong reputation for providing highquality legal services to our clients and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

Core duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing technical advice to clients on various matters including succession and estate planning structuring and establishing trusts establishing powers of attorney and advising on family provision applications.
  • Drafting and negotiating various legal documents including wills testamentary trusts enduring powers of attorney and advanced health directives.
  • Administration of estates including obtaining probate and letters of administration.
  • Representing clients in negotiations mediations and court proceedings; and;
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service.

Who we are seeking

The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

  • 3 years post admission experience including an interest and understanding of the wills & estates practice area;
  • Ability to run files with minimum supervision;
  • Strong relationship building customer/client service and communication skills;
  • Strong time management and organisational skills together with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously; and
