Australian Golf:
In December 2021 Golf Australia (GA) and the Professional Golfers Association of Australia (PGA) together with the WPGA Tour of Australasia (WPGA) launched the Australian Golf Strategy the firstever industrywide strategic plan for the game.
With a clear line of sight to the national strategy and its growth aspirations were all committed to its ideals headlined by a purpose of encouraging more Australians to play more Golf.
The PGA is the peak professional golf body in Australia responsible for providing career opportunities and growing the industry for more than 2800 current PGA Professionals driving worldclass golf education and operating Australasias premier mens and womens professional tours the PGA Tour of Australasia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia.
Golf Australia is the governing body for golf in Australia. The membership of GA starts with State Associations and cascades down to golf regions associations golf clubs and the members of golf clubs across the country. More than 1400 golf clubs and 425000 club members are affiliated to GA through their membership and access to the GA Handicap system. In addition to supporting golf clubs and facilities GA has a sharp focus on participation encouraging growth increasing diversity and presenting golf as a sport for all.
Given the collaboration and sharing of services already being undertaken a corporate entity titled Australian Golf Services (AGS) has been formed to appropriately manage and govern these functions. The AGS is an entity jointly owned by GA and PGA of Australia to bring together specialised areas of both businesses to support and grow golf in Australia.
About the Role:
This role will sit in the AGS Public Affairs & Marketing team but will exclusively work with Golf Australias Places to Play and Participation teams along with the Office of the CEO at Golf Australia to lead GAs storytelling and engagement with the golf industry and participants.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
This role will enhance Golf Australias reputation amongst its affiliated clubs facilities places to play and other key industry stakeholders through effective communications ultimately bringing the industry together to inspire more Australians to play more golf.
Working closely with the communications marketing and content teams to drive an aligned message to market the role will focus on direct and stakeholder communications initiatives such as B2B EDMs and newsletters industry forums speech and presentation preparation thought leadership and direct participant engagement via our owned platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing strategic communication plans that align with organisational objects and engage key stakeholders effectively as well as having:
