Job Description

Make a difference in young peoples lives through footy and leadership

  • Casual maxterm position until May 2026 with potential to extend
  • Based in Launceston on the lands of the palawa people
  • Flexible afterschool hours (approximately 16 hours per month) Work from home & inperson engagement required
  • $37 $40per hour 25% casual loading

 

The program
This unique initiative blends sport leadership and personal development. Designed to run alongside the Northern Tasmania football season the program targets young people aged up to 19 who are connected to local football clubs.

Through interactive workshops exciting outdoor activities hosted by guest mentors and leadership training young people will grow their confidence develop their voice and give back to the game they love. This program is all about building capable wellled communities through youthled action.

 

Your Role Your Impact
As Facilitator youll be the heart of this program energising supporting and walking alongside the next generation of footy leaders. Your impact will go beyond running workshops youll help young people grow their confidence feel proud of who they are and feel more connected to their club and community.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engaging and coordinating young participants to attend workshops and advisory sessions.
  • Connecting with young people to ensure they feel heard motivated and empowered.
  • Facilitating youthled discussions and cocreate meaningful program experiences.
  • Building strong connections through inperson engagement and creative communications.
  • Providing administrative support such as workshop catering and data tracking.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to promote youth voice within local football communities.
