POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The MTSS Instructional Facilitator will support K12 schools to align systems and implement equitybased MTSS. The MTSS Instructional Facilitator will develop the capacity of K12 interventionists special education and general education teachers through training instructional support and MTSS alignment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with Educational Services instructional coaches and building principals to support alignment and implementation of TCSDs MTSS and instructional frameworks.
Support curriculum instruction and assessment implementation and facilitate alignment of grades 56 and 89 transitions.
Provide consultation coaching and collaborative support to interventionists special education teachers general education teachers and principals on TCSD1s MTSS systems.
Build capacity of building interventionists and special education teachers to align evidence based instructional practices that support individualized student learning plans.
Provide cofacilitation and modeling support for building MTSS meetings when requested.
Collaborate with MTSS teams to align K12 Literacy Plan guidelines review data and monitor progress towards goals.
Support the development implementation and improvement of Tier II and Tier III interventions.
Support MTSS and IDEA teams in the administration of assessment tools for screening diagnostics and progress monitoring.
Facilitate New Teacher Program training modeling and coaching in evidencebased instructional strategies and evidencebased resources aligned to the MTSS framework.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Knowledge of principles and practices of curriculum instruction and assessment and the ability to apply them to the needs of the district and schools.
Knowledge of MTSS frameworks and the corresponding research literature and best practices.
Knowledge of K12 evidencebased instructional practices assessment and resources and be specifically knowledgeable about effective practices for atrisk students (MLs special education low socioeconomic status etc.)
Has expertise in using databased decision making to determine intervention effectiveness for accelerating student growth and achievement.
Knowledge of how to match the most effective instructional approach and intervention with the specific needs of the learner.
Has expertise in teaching adult learners to be reflective practitioners.
Has expertise in teaching adult learners to effectively build instructional capacity.
Has expertise in teaching adult learners to effectively build their collaborative capacity.
EDUCATION LICENSE CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING:
At least five years of successful teaching experience.
Wyoming Teaching Certificate.
English as a Second Language (ELD) Endorsement.
Specialized training in evidencebased instructional practices and intervention resources (e.g. LETRS or Aspire OG Comprehensive or Morphology Plus Bridges Intervention Landscapes for Learning).
Masters degree in education preferred.
National Board Certification preferred.
PLC Coaching Academy training preferred.
Critical Data Matrix training preferred
Leadership TCSD program completion preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed materialthe ability to adjust focus and exposure to screen(s) via technology. Hearing ability to monitor activity and presence of students and respond to communication with students and adults is required. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is normally low to moderate but may become loud when large groups are together in a room. The employee may be required to move from room to room to provide instruction and may have to maneuver in crowded hallways. Duties are typically performed indoors and occasionally outdoors such as playground duty or when students are boarding or unloading buses. The employee may be exposed to unpredictable weather conditions. This position is typically performed in a hazard free clean and healthy environment.
