Reservationist
Location: Remote (Preferred candidates from Philippines or South Africa)
Hours: Late shift as follows (EST)
- Monday :10am to 5pm
- Wed/thurs/Friday: 4pm10pm
- Sunday: 10am to 5pm
Salary: $1300 $1500/month
Start Date: ASAP (Urgent hire)
About the Company
The company is established about 3 years ago recently opened Beef Bar in New York (April 2024 a franchise of a global brand with a successful first year. The team recently outsourced accounting to India and is focused on scaling their customer experience.
Role Overview
The reservationist will handle highvolume bookings for Beef Bar NY managing around 100 200 daily reservations (up to 200 on Fridays and Saturdays). This role is critical to providing exceptional customer service and smooth operations for a busy upscale restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reservation calls and bookings using Seven Rooms (primary system).
- Monitor and promptly respond to reservation emails.
- Transfer bookings manually from OpenTable and Resy to Seven Rooms.
- Handle large volumes of reservations especially on weekends.
- Proactively offer alternative booking times/dates never turn away customers.
- Use system tags to identify VIP customers and accommodate accordingly.
- Maintain friendly professional communication with both international and local clients.
- Collaborate with the events team for large parties and events.
- Report regularly to the General Manager and Director of Operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years hospitality or reservationist experience (Seven Rooms experience highly preferred).
- Experience with OpenTable and Resy is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
- Proactive detailoriented and able to work independently.
- Friendly patient and able to handle highpressure situations.
- Comfortable with some technical setup (VoIP phone system for remote work).
- Adaptable and open in communication with a customerfirst attitude.
Work Schedule (Current Reservationist Hours for Reference)
- Monday: 10 AM 5 PM
- Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: 4 PM 10 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM 5 PM
Note: The new role focuses on the late shift (likely 1 PM 9 PM ET TuesdaySaturday). Final schedule to be confirmed.
