Overview
The MD DNB Radiologist Consultant plays a critical role in the healthcare sector focusing on diagnostic imaging and its interpretation to guide clinical decisions. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic imaging studies including Xrays MRIs CT scans and ultrasounds.
- Analyze imaging results to detect conditions such as tumors fractures and internal injuries.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
- Communicate findings and diagnosis clearly to patients and referring physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging data and interactions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient management plans.
- Educate patients about procedures and alleviate concerns related to imaging.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold high standards in imaging practices.
- Research and apply the latest radiological techniques and technologies.
- Train and mentor junior radiologists and medical students on best practices.
- Assist in the administrative functions of the radiology department.
- Contribute to continuous professional development through workshops and seminars.
- Participate in or lead clinical audits to enhance service quality.
- Actively engage in peer reviews to maintain a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols in imaging.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree with a specialization in Radiology.
- DNB (Diplomate of National Board) certification in Radiology is mandatory.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in a radiology consultant role.
- Proficiency in advanced imaging modalities and techniques.
- Strong foundation in human anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with radiological software and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with radiation safety standards and protocols.
