Job Description
Overview:
This position requires a Radiologist MD DNB DM RD in Mandi Himachal Pradesh to provide highquality radiological services within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. The role is fundamental to diagnosing treating and monitoring various medical conditions through imaging techniques such as Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds. The Radiologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostics and treatment plans tailored to patients needs. In addition this role upholds a commitment to patientcentered care providing clear communication to patients and healthcare teams regarding diagnostic findings. The Radiologists expertise is crucial in guiding clinical decisions and contributing to better health outcomes within the community. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that emphasizes continuous learning and professional development in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret radiological images to diagnose patient conditions.
- Discuss imaging results with referring physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Perform imaging procedures including conventional radiography CT MRI and ultrasound.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols including radiation safety.
- Develop and implement imaging protocols specific to patient needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Train and supervise junior radiologists and medical personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic images and results.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with advances in radiology.
- Consult on interventional radiology procedures as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and findings.
- Utilize digital imaging systems and radiology information systems.
- Manage radiology department workflow to maintain efficiency.
- Contribute to research projects and clinical trials as appropriate.
- Handle emergency imaging cases with urgency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD) from a recognized institution.
- Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Radiology.
- DM in Radiology or a relevant specialty preferred.
- State medical license to practice medicine.
- Proven experience in diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with modern imaging technology and software.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail in interpreting imaging results.
- Commitment to patient care and ethical considerations.
- Research experience is a plus.
- Willingness to engage in professional development and training.
