Job Description

Overview: The Pediatrician MD DNB DCH Consultant is a vital role within our healthcare organization dedicated to providing comprehensive care to infants children and adolescents. This position not only involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric illnesses but also focuses on preventive care and health education. Pediatricians are essential in guiding parents and families through the complexities of childhood health challenges benefiting both physical and emotional wellbeing. This role requires a unique combination of medical expertise communication and empathy to ensure children receive the best possible care. By working closely with patients families and healthcare teams the Pediatrician plays an integral part in the health outcomes of young patients and contributes significantly to the community s overall health standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations of children.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies as needed.
  • Monitor the growth and development of patients and provide guidance.
  • Offer preventive care and health education to parents and guardians.
  • Stay current with medical research and advancements in pediatrics.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Educate families about health choices disease prevention and healthy lifestyles.
  • Manage and resolve patients concerns and parents inquiries effectively.
  • Provide emergency care and stabilization of critically ill children.
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and comprehensively.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.
  • Ensure adherence to medical protocols and standards of care.
  • Maintain a pediatric patient database and follow up on care plans.
  • Assist in training and mentoring medical interns and residents.
Required Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate training in Pediatrics (DNB/DCH) is mandatory.
  • Board certification in Pediatrics preferred.
  • Valid medical license to practice pediatrics.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and pediatric medications.
  • Excellence in diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and problemsolving.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
  • Experience in managing pediatric emergencies is desirable.
