Job Description

Reporting to the HR Manager Operations the HR Administrator (Operations) is responsible for various administrative functions and processes in support of the HR Operations team and when required the HR Policies and Programs team.

  • Recruitment and Onboarding logistics (hourly and salaried)
  • Drafting employee letters (changes contract extensions LOAs)
  • Updating Cornerstone with new employees changes and departures
  • Offboarding administrative logistics
  • Cross system data audits to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Researching courses and training as needed
  • Assisting with the creation of job postings
  • Report compilation
  • Maintaining an HR calendar (for Operations)
  • Assisting with the creation of presentations
  • Filing documents and emails as needed
  • Assist in collecting exit interview data
  • Complete government job vacancy surveys
  • Records retention strategy and management

Qualifications :

  • 13 years relevant work experience in a clerical or administration
  • HR admin experience and/or Administrative related education/diploma preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team and/or independently.
  • Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Resourceful when handling unexpected issues or streamlining processes.
  • Able to make decisions independently while knowing when to escalate.
  • Able to adapt to and to learn software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.

This position may be based in Calgary or Edmonton
