Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Precommissioning Administrative Support Technician you will provide all necessary administrative support to ships Prospective Commanding Officers Executive Officers and Department Heads for administrative security clearance and technical services. Fleet Introduction work is performed as an integrated support team that includes federal government and contractor teams that work closely with PEO SHIPS the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and Repair Huntington Ingalls Industries and the ships crewmembers.

This position is located in PascagoulaMississippi.

The ideal candidate will provide Security/Administrative Assistant support as follows:

  • Receive review and distribute Command correspondence and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain naval correspondence and serial logs.
  • Track the progress of the POA&M for Commanding Officer and Executive Officer and assist with resolution for any delinquent requirements.
  • Assist in routing entitlement requests through ships chain of Command.
  • Process incoming personnel utilizing SALESFORCE and complete travel documents through the Transaction Support Center.
  • Formatting command correspondence along with routing and approval.
  • Processing travel in DTS and manage various travel databases.
  • Handle details privately that are CUI in nature.
  • Assist command personnel in obtaining security badge for access to various facilities.
  • Process access requests with the shipbuilder for closed areas.
  • Initiate personnel security investigations/reinvestigations and follow through to completion.
  • Manage database update status and reporting of all command clearances.
  • Process NonDisclosure Agreements (NDA) and enter into DISS.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree OR Associates Degree 2 years of experience OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) 4 years of experience

  • Proficiency with data entry and the ability to format documents and spreadsheets
  • Capable of transiting onboard Navy warships which includes steep stairways and ramps with slopes in excess of 15 degrees
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • US Citizen

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with DISS / NBIS DTS NSIPS and SALESFORCE
  • Understanding of military terms particularly surface Navy terms

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contractspecific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or oncall staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
