Job Description
The University of Nevada Renos Office of Animal Resources is currently seeking a motivated and responsible student worker to join its team. This position offers a valuable opportunity for students interested in gaining handson experience in the fields of animal science comparative biology and laboratory animal care. The student worker will assist in a variety of veterinary support functions that are essential to the universitys campuswide scientific research and teaching initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform health checks under the mentoring of UNR veterinarians
Perform cage changes feeding cleaning and room maintenance to assist faculty programs in the centralized facilities on campus
Attend staff meetings to coordinate new projects
Participate in the ongoing staff training series in practical laboratory animal science and comparative medicine topics
Required Qualifications
Candidate must be a student of the University of Nevada Reno.
