BASIC FUNCTION:
Provides critical support to the Purchasing function of Ellis Medicine by coordinating various purchasing data bases by preparing cost analysis reports and by troubleshooting EDI and other purchasing transactions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):
Education: Associated Degree preferred
Experience: 3 years experience in supply chain and purchasing. . Must be able to problemsolve and prioritize tasks as well as recognizing process improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and experience creating spreadsheets for analyzing information.
MAKING ELLIS EXCEPTIONAL (MEE) BEHAVIORS & STANDARDS
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Generates purchase orders ensuring orders are complete valid and approved in a timely manner. Expedites orders as needed utilizing department resources such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) AutoFax Online requisitions etc.
- Maintain an ongoing relationship with suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance including ontime delivery; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; may negotiate with suppliers to resolve shortterm performance problems and invoice submission.
- Updates stocked and stockless ordering information ensure stockouts and back orders are addressed and resolved as soon as possible.
- Communicates with suppliers on a daytoday basis regarding product releases.
- Utilize Materials Management Information System (MMIS) reports to manage and Process invoice discrepancies. Communicates and assists Accounts Payable with the reconciliation of outstanding invoice discrepancies. Logs credits and tracks credits until received
- Resolves shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers.
- Coordinates and processes returns within vendor policies processes shipping and credit memos and communicate returns to the shipping area for return to vendor.
- Compiles and completes cost analyses and data research to aid in supply chain projects as necessary.
- Assist with product trials and new product implementation by setting up new MMIS numbers vendors item locations and appropriate par levels.
- Sets up and assists in troubleshooting EDI transactions such as 850s and 810 transmissions via the MMIS and order transmission platform.
- Manages and enters contracts service agreements and leases into the supply chain contract database.
- Complete required training as assigned and assists with training new employees regarding responsibilities and department policies and procedures.
- Complies with Hospital and department policies work rules and requirements.
- Assists in other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to patient privacy policies and procedures maintain confidentiality.

Salary Range: $18.3326.58/hour Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
