Who we are
NORSTA Maritime is the Regional Maintenance Provider for the NorthEast (RMPNE) region delivering project management capabilities technical expertise and quality assurance activities for the Royal Australian Navy fleet.
Our advanced maritime sustainment planning coordinates fleet maintenance at scale across Far North Queensland Northern Australia and adjacent waters for the Commonwealth of Australia.
Due to demand for our services we are expanding rapidly and developing further capacity for more vessel platforms.
Note: This position requires Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (minimum Baseline).
About the role
The Senior Maintenance Assurance Advisor (SMAA) plays a vital role in ensuring the finalisation and delivery of RMPNE projects by ensuring quality assurance and ultimately sea worthiness of the Royal Australian Navys fleet. The role specifically ensures the accuracy and currency of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and Task Progress Completion Certificates as well as various industry and customer standards.
The role also plays an important role in maintaining a proactive and vigilant team safety culture fostering NORSTA values and behaviours.

The role is an initial sixmonth fixedterm contract but is highly likely to be extended with possible permanent employment at the end of the contract.
About you
You are a seasoned professional with a proven track record in sustainment and quality assurance coupled with strong project management skills. Your expertise in these areas enables you to effectively oversee and optimize vessel operations. While a maritime technical background and/or Australian Defence Force experience is desirable it is not a necessity. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
