Job Description
The Career Development Center at Elizabethtown College is accepting applications for an Assistant Director of Employer Relations. This is an 11 month per year position and will typically work starting July end of May. This position will proactively engage employers and alumni across targeted industries to establish partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for students. Monitor trends in hiring practices industries employers and job roles sharing insights with the College community. Build and maintain relationships with employers through networking site visits alumni and faculty connections family networks conferences and cold outreach. Collaborate with faculty alumni relations and institutional advancement to identify leads while expanding internship and employment opportunities both locally and beyond Pennsylvania. Implement strategies to strengthen and diversify employer connections ensuring sustainable partnerships that support student success. Regularly required to remain seated in a normal position for long periods of time Occasionally required to stand for long periods of time Regularly required to move about Regularly required to climb stairs and/or ladders Regularly required to maintain balance while walking standing crouching or running Occasionally required to stoop kneel crouch and/or crawl Occasionally required to reach up and out with hands and arms Regularly required to talk and hear; verbally express information or instructions Regularly required to use hands to grasp objects type pick up objects move objects or hold objects Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry a distance of 10 feet Occasionally required to push and/or pull up to 25 pounds a distance of 10 feet VISION REQUIREMENTS To successfully perform this position individuals must possess the following: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) Depth perception and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships Adjustable focus Ability to distinguish colors WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. Rarely exposed to outdoor weather and temperature extremes. Rarely exposed to indoor conditions. Rarely exposed to extreme noise level. Rarely exposed to chemicals fumes dust or work safety hazards. The individual is regularly exposed to indoor conditions and moderate noise level; the individual is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather and temperature extremes.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Required

Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a MA/MS/ in Student Development Higher Ed Administration Counseling or Human Resources preferred as well as one year of experience which can include a graduate level practicum or field experience.

Work Schedule
11 months MF 8:00 4:30 some evenings and weekends required
