Job Description
Category Manager Indirect Full Time
We are looking for an experienced Category Manager Indirect to join our team and lead our indirect procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective category strategy and driving value for the company in the area of indirect procurement. This position is a fulltime hybrid role and will be based in Bay City MI.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective category strategy for indirect procurement.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify potential suppliers and identify cost savings opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers in order to obtain the best value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure consistent quality of products and services.
- Maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers.
- Analyze and report on key performance metrics.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to the rest of the procurement team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business or related field.
- 520 years of work experience in procurement indirect procurement and category strategy.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
