Lead Support Worker
East Ipswich Suffolk
Temporary until October 2025 full time (37.5 hpw) rota working days evenings weekends and bank holidays including sleep in shifts at an additional 50 per shift
Pay 13.21 to 13.63 per hour (25838 to 26645 per annum)and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Typical day as a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Coordinator)
- Creating support plans with your customers and coordinating our small team of Support Workers working to the plans.
- Customer group severe and enduring mental health may also have a substance misuse issue and or a mild learning disability/ ASD
- Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals shopping budgeting maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
- Carrying out risk assessments support planning goal setting and regular reviews.
- Cuppas chats and catch ups. Theres no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to collaborate with colleagues too.

You bring
- Passion to support our customers to live their best life working collaboratively with an eye for detail.
- Experience of creating personcentred support plans and supporting colleagues in working to work to the plans.
- Experience of coordinating and assessing customer referrals.
- The ability to workon your own initiative remaincalm under pressure and havea resilient approach

Job details
- Where were flexible with you we do need to meet the needs of our customers. That may mean adapting your start or finishing times on occasion.
- We have a 4 week rolling rotaworking across services in Ipswich
- Although there is some lone working we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
- Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
- Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
