The Opportunity

Cruise Coordinator/Scheduler assists with confirming suppliers and completes the schedule for the team of cruise coordinators and Cruise guides working out of the Port of Sydney NS. They can work remotely. Assist in the administrative side of applying appropriate risk management strategies which will impact on the companys financial results reputation and client relationships.

  • Receives updated tour counts and provides that information to our suppliers.
  • Distributes any updated information regarding dispatch and tour departures to the onsite coordinating team.
  • Ensures suppliers are contacted with updated tour numbers and meal requests if applicable
  • Distributes duties to staff (break replacement support for staff in other areas)
  • Responsible to be objective fair and thorough and comply with practices and procedures to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Schedules Tour Guides in WIW system matching needs for the day
  • Oncall for sick call ins and ship cancellations to ensure guides are notified timely and operations run smoothly
  • Assist with hiring and training of new tour guides with support of senior guides.
  • Effectively and professionally communicates to management and clients and to build rapport with team members and business partners using a variety of techniques.
  • Resolves minor conflicts and issues and escalates to others as appropriate.
  • Operates within company and legal policies.
  • Works to help maximize efficiencies and revenues for the respective departments.
  • Responds to as many concerns and compliments as possible both positive and negative
  • Share explain and consistently exhibit the companys philosophy for customer service excellence.
  • Assist with monitoring successful onboarding for all staff.
  • Work closely with cruise operations manager to monitor labour costs daily.

Work Hours

  • Seasonal position from approximately April to November
  • Irregular work schedules that take place over 7 days per week including holidays
