As a supervisor you are responsible for the daily management of warehouse operations in a specific area. This entails organising and supervising your team in the most efficient customer oriented and safe way. In addition it is your responsibility to ensure a high level of quality and focus on timely execution of tasks at hand including initiating and executing improvement opportunities.
Major responsibilities
* You coach a team of approx. 2530 employees who perform several warehouse activities: unloading deconsolidation putaway picking packing loading and shipping of parts.
* You are responsible for the efficient organisation of your area and to attain the preestablished quality and productivity standards.
* You ensure that the activities in your area are performed in conjunction and synergy with other areas by closely collaborating with your colleagues.
* You are responsible for the operational processes in your area and initiate and/or contribute to improvement projects.
* You ensure proper training and development of the employees under your responsibility.
* You are accountable for a safe and clean work environment and the adherence of safety standards by your team.
* You analyse area results and strive for lean management while taking appropriate actions for improvements.
* You will work in rotating shift.

* Has an understanding on applicable policies processes and warehouse management systems.
Additional remarks:
* Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English.
