Job Description
Were looking for a confident compassionate and communityminded Retirement Housing Officer to join our team in the Severn region covering areas including Droitwich Malvern Bromyard Hereford Worcester Upton and nearby villages.
In this role youll be supporting residents living in retirement properties within the community. These homes range from bungalows to flats and youll play a key role in helping older residents live independently and securely.
Based from Rowan Court in Worcester youll manage a busy varied patch responding to housingrelated issues safeguarding concerns antisocial behaviour and tenancy queries. Youll work in the community and closely with social workers health professionals families police and other internal teams to provide excellent personcentered support.
No two days are the same youll have the opportunity to take ownership of cases and build rapportswith the people you support in the community.
The role is sitebased 35 hours per week (typically worked 9am5pm however we can offer some flexibility) and includes occasional participation in an outofhours oncall rota (around once every 3 months).
About You
Youll be someone who thrives in a varied role with strong housing knowledge people skills and the ability to work confidently and independently across a large geographical area. Youll come from a communitybased role with the experience of being able to adapt to different challenges whilst maintaining a calm and responsive approach.
Youll have excellent customer service skills and be able to change your approach accordingly. Youll have exceptional time management skills and an understanding that some cases will be time sensitive.
Youll be customer focused and have some awareness of working with vulnerable adults and safeguarding. Youll have great interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Youll also be very confident in using ICT software such as Microsoft Packages systems and the ability to adapt to using other systems. Youll have experience and knowledge of updating records and ensuring accurate information is being recorded.
Youll have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the needs of our customers are being met. Youll have a Drivers Licence access to a car and able to travel across Worcestershire.
