POSITION SPECIFICS
Dr. Amy Moore in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at Penn State is hiring a fulltime Human Research Technologist to assist in research projects related to nutrition health and wellbeing in communitybased settings especially among families living in rural communities.
The Human Research Technologist will have the opportunity to work as part of a growing multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects related to improving nutrition and nutritionrelated health outcomes among underserved families. Current and future projects include communitybased interventions to improve dietary behaviors among parents and their children.
This position will be responsible for the daytoday management of research and lab activities including developing and implementing research protocols participant recruitment data collection data management and analyses and developing reports and presentations related to research and lab activities. Opportunities for authorship on research projects will be available.
Primary Responsibilities
This position will be filled as a Human Research Technologist Health and Medicine Intermediate Professional which requires a minimum of an Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelors degree in nutrition public health sociology psychology or related fields as well as excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are preferred. Experience with programming languages (e.g. SAS or R) and qualitative analysis software (e.g. NVivo or Dedoose) is desirable.
MINIMUM EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Associate Degree 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneApplicant Instructions
