As a Young People Support Worker in our Emerald Team youll have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people. In our dynamic and supportive environment youll contribute to a range of integrated services for young people their families.
In this role your key responsibilities will be completing a support assessment to highlight the needs risks and strengths for a young person and formulate a plan of support. You will work alongside other young peoples support workers as well as social workers within the team. You will receive regular supervision from a supportive management team.
A solid understanding of child/adolescent development risks and indicators of exploitation vulnerabilities and exploitation is crucial.
To excel in this role you should possess an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent significant experience in a relevant field and proven engagement with vulnerable children and young people aged 1017.
There will be a requirement to occasionally work with children and families when they most need it which may be outside of normal working hours including weekends. The number of out of hours worked will not exceed 10% of the total contracted hours per week.
