WRI India an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust provides objective information and practical proposals to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development. WRI Indias mission is to move human society to live in ways that protect Earths environment and its capacity to provide for the needs and aspirations of current and future generations. Through research analysis and recommendations WRI India puts ideas into action to build transformative solutions to protect the earth promote livelihoods and enhance human wellbeing.
We are inspired by and associated with the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Delhi Mumbai and Bengaluru.
About Communications Team
The WRI India Core Communications team based in New Delhi and Mumbai oversees the strategy and outreach for the institute in support of WRI Indias leadership program teams and centers. Communication is crucial to WRI Indias success in achieving rapid systemic changes.
About the role
As a communications consultant WRI Indias flagship event Connect Karo 2025 scheduled for September 23 2025. You will be tasked with executing the communications strategy and engaging with stakeholders before and during the event.
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- Masters degree in communications or a relevant field with minimum 10 years experience
- Candidates with experience in working with journalism and public relations will be preferred
- Candidates experienced in working with think tanks and organizations specializing in climate change will be preferred
The Team Skills We Seek
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Strong communication skills including written and oral communications.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple team members.
- An ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet strict deadlines.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
Location: Delhi (nonnegotiable)
Duration: 2 months term hire
Start Date: July 5 (nonnegotiable)
