Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker on a 1.5month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.33 21.45 per hour

Summary:

As a Support Worker you will play a crucial role in delivering highquality social care services for children young people and their families. The role involves providing direct practical and emotional support within the home and community contributing to care assessments and ensuring the welfare and safety of vulnerable individuals. You will work in partnership with families professionals and other agencies to promote positive outcomes and resilience for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake direct work with children young people and families to support care planning assessment and review processes.
  • Supervise and facilitate contact between children in care and their birth families.
  • Use evidencebased tools and parenting programmes to support family stability.
  • Write accurate case notes reports (including court reports) and maintain electronic records on systems like ICS.
  • Uphold confidentiality and data protection principles at all times.

Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in a field related to working with children and young people.

Essentials:

  • Experience working across professional boundaries and in multiagency settings.
  • Proficient in IT systems relevant to social care case management.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and carry out direct work with children and families.
  • Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
