25OTH31 Summer Credit Recovery Teacher
(This is a noncontract entitled position)
LOCATION: This is an inperson position. Some paperwork can be done remotely as arranged with the principal. Available locations are indicated on the application form linked below.
DATES & HOURS: Over an agreed upon timeline with the principal of the school between July 2 2025 and July 11 2025. Days will be arranged with the principal upon offer to the successful applicant for the position and will depend on the needs of each specific school.
FEDERATION AFFILIATION: While performing this position you are a member of the Ontario Secondary School teachers Federation representing the District 18 Teachers Bargaining Unit. Union dues will apply.
RATE of PAY: $62.66/hour
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Secondary Credit Recovery Teacher you will report directly to the school principal and document work in a chart for the Principal of Program STEM. Successful applicants will be expected to collaborate with school staff on student Credit Recovery Learning Plans with students to execute plans and to document results including credit logging procedures. Successful applicants must be able to work directly with students to guide them through the Learning Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
Experience in Student Success Guidance and/or Special Education
Demonstrated ability working with graduation requirements pathway planning timetabling and alternative programs
Knowledge of the policy and guiding principles of Credit Recovery in Growing Success
