Job Title: HR Representative
Purpose of the Position:
The HR Representative will assist the Regional HR Manager with the daytoday operations and the administration of the human resources policies procedures and programs.
Essential job functions:
- Schedules tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education and work assessments.
- Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Conducts new hire orientation for locations of responsibility.
- Will assists as required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; and training and development.
- Handles employmentrelated inquiries from applicants employees and supervisors referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Regional HR Manager.
- Attends employee disciplinary meetings terminations and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Conducts exit interview for resigned employees.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health dental and vision plans.
- Assists and supports companywide information meetings such as open enrollment new hire orientation and meetings to announce or discuss changes in benefits plans.
- Performs other activities assigned by the Regional HR Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Associates degree in business related programis a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- 13 years of experience in HR.
- 2 years of recruiting industrial positions.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in working in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
