*This position is parttime 20 hours/week*

Job Summary

The Medical Services Coordinator is critical in ensuring smooth coordination between medical providers nursing clients and clinical teams to deliver highquality clientcentered care.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential functions include the following:

  • Coordinate medical appointments for clients medicationassisted treatment (MAT) psychiatric evaluations and followup visits.
  • Partner closely with medical providers nursing admissions mental health and medical services for continuity of care and referrals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely documentation in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Act as a liaison between clients medical providers and clinical team to support integrated care.
  • Assist in communication medication requests or concerns with nursing team medical providers and clients.
  • Track and report on client progress medical service utilization and outcomes as required.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance efforts by ensuring all medical services meet regulatory and programming standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing program development.
  • Assist medical providers with scheduling and care coordination.
  • Ensure necessary documents are sent from medical provider and uploaded into client files including UA results and appointment summaries.
  • Train employees in medical provider processes and procedures when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):

  • At least 1 year of administrative or coordination experience preferably in a healthcare behavioral health or substance use disorder/treatment environment.
  • Ability to work with electronic health records (EHR) systems and follow documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks including Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks meet deadlines and work effectively with multiple teams.
  • Must be comfortable working with people with lifecontrolling challenges including mental health and addiction.
  • The ability to live and work by MnTCs culture of honor & core values practicing compassion honor respect integrity servanthood and trust.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.

Target Compensation (Negotiable based on Qualifications):

$19.0021.00/hour
