The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Product Marketing Manager to act as a PlayerCoach for our growing product marketing team. In this unique role you will serve as a key individual contributor (Player) by owning and executing on a critical product marketing focus area while also providing guidance mentorship and strategic alignment (Coach) for two other Product Marketing Managers each responsible for distinct areas of focus such as (Sales Enablement MidFunnel/Bottom Funnel Content Core Product). This role is ideal for someone who excels at handson execution and is passionate about helping others grow and succeed without the formal responsibilities of a direct people manager (hiring formal performance reviews). You will play a pivotal role in scaling the impact and effectiveness of our product marketing function.

As a Player (Individual Contributor Focus Area Ownership):
You will be the primary owner and driver for one of the following critical product marketing areas. The specific area of focus will be determined based on your expertise and experience aligned with business needs.
- Product Marketing Focus: Owning the overall product narrative developing GTM strategies and executing launches for new products/features crafting product communication to customers and supporting product adoption/upsell/crosssell goals.
- Sales Enablement Focus: Creating and maintaining highimpact sales tools (decks cheat sheets calculators) providing deal support developing use cases ensuring effective demo environments and delivering competitive intelligence.
- Buyer Journey Focus: Developing content and messaging that educates potential buyers on problems product categories solutions and alternatives and creating compelling customer stories/case studies and implementation/migration assets.
- Partners and Analysts Focus: Developing joint value propositions with partners creating comarketing content supporting partner enablement and managing relationships with industry analysts.
Execute flawlessly within your designated area delivering highquality strategies content and programs that meet objectives.
Serve as the subject matter expert for your owned area within the marketing team and across the company.
As a Coach (Team Guidance & Alignment):
- Provide mentorship guidance and support to three other Product Marketing Managers each focused on a different key area.
- Help team members prioritize their work navigate challenges and develop their skills within their respective domains.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst the product marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and approach where needed.
- Help align individual team member initiatives with overall product marketing strategy and company objectives.
- Act as a sounding board and resource for best practices across all areas of product marketing represented by the team.
- Identify potential roadblocks for the team and work to remove them.
- Assist the Reporting Manager in identifying training or development opportunities for the team.
- Contribute to fostering a positive collaborative and highperforming team environment.
CrossFunctional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Product Management Sales Customer Success Demand Generation Communications and other teams to ensure cohesive gotomarket strategies and execution.
- Represent the product marketing team in key crossfunctional meetings.
What You Bring to the Team:
- 8 years of progressive experience in product marketing preferably within the Your Industry e.g. SaaS B2B Tech space.
- Demonstrated expertise and a proven track record of success in at least one of the specific product marketing focus areas listed above (Sales Enablement Buyer Enablement Core product launches/adoption/GTM Partners/Analysts).
- Previous experience mentoring coaching or informally leading junior team members.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to connect product marketing activities to broader business goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Communications or a related field; Masters degree is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating in a playercoach or informal team lead capacity previously.
- Familiarity with multiple areas of product marketing outside of your core expertise.
- Experience with relevant tools and platforms (e.g. CRM like Salesforce sales enablement platforms analytics tools project management software).
