About the role:
We are looking for a fulltime qualified Accountant to provide financial services for different legal entities of the Hstens group.
This position will be responsible for performing the day to day accounting of companies in different countries primarily in the UK and Belgium as well as the review and oversight of the accounting for Germany and Hong Kong which are prepared by external accountants.
Responsibilities:
- All day to day accounting covering accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Collating information for VAT and tax reporting purposes handled by external specialists
- Process incoming and outgoing payments
- Bank reconciliation
- Processing and paying suppliers invoices
- Maintaining prepayments accruals and fixed asset registers
- Preparing monthly management accounts of the respective companies
- Reconcile inventory in the accounting system
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements with the assistance of local experts
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors accounting agency tax agents corporate secretarial agents local tax and government authorities where required
- Maintain intercompany balances reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Ensuring consistent coding in line with the Groups chart of accounts
- Deliver periodic financial reports to management
- Assist on new processes and systems integration implementation
- Working hand in hand with the rest of the finance team to ensure alignment in way of working
Skills and requirements:
- ACCA certification or the equivalent
- Fluent in English (knowledge of French is deemed an asset)
- At least 3 years experience in accounting/finance
- Good excel skills
