Job Description

Required Education and Experience: A bachelor s degree in information systems/computer science (or related field) with 12 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree with 10 years or 7 years with a PhD.

Certification: Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) with specialization in Routing & Switching wireless security or data center or equivalent certification.

Networking Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in networking engineering for large enterprise networks with over 3000 network nodes.

AWS Experience: 3 years of experience working with AWS network connectivity for large enterprises.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Position of Public Trust clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Hybrid Role: The position is hybrid requiring the employee to be located in MD for occasional office work.

WLAN and Network Design: Responsibilities include surveying network requirements leading WLAN rollouts and upgrading network equipment to meet standards.

NAC and VPN Management: Oversee the design operation and maintenance of Network Admission Control (NAC) systems for WLAN and VPN access.

Project Management: Responsible for managing field installation contractors coordinating equipment delivery and ensuring timely deployment of network solutions.

Technical Support & Documentation: Provide thirdlevel support for troubleshooting contribute to network documentation and continuously seek opportunities to enhance network performance and reliability.
