Job Summary:
The Department of Education at West Texas A&M University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Counseling for the Fall of 2025. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with the faculty of the Counseling program and teach two or more of the eight CACREP core areas in our program.
Work Performed:
This is a fulltime 9month tenuretrack faculty position. The successful candidate will teach a 33 course load of 9 credit hours per semester and be available for teaching in the summer as needed. The teaching load will consist of teaching graduatelevel courses in the Counseling (M.A.) and the School Counseling (.) programs. Other responsibilities include advising M.A. and . students maintaining an active research agenda that results in peerreviewed publications participating in departmental college and university service and other duties as assigned.This is NOT a remote position this position will be oncampus for these duties.
Necessary Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Counselor Education by August 2025 (we will consider applicants who are ABD)
Texas state licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or eligible
Evidenced scholarly activity or scholarly agenda in the field of Counseling
