Minimum Qualifications
MSW degree from a CSWE -accredited program. At least two (2) years of post- MSW practice experience. Content expertise in masters generalist courses and/or specialty content areas related to healthcare social work including: Health and social welfare policy/advocacy. Social behavioral psychological interventions for patients/clients in health settings. Research and evaluation for healthcare including community based approaches. Health social work community and inpatient including medical/hospital social work specialty areas. Mental health diagnosis and intervention in healthcare. Diabetes care and management. Social work in health and aging. Trauma-informed practice. Substance abuse assessment and treatment in healthcare settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in social work or related field. Academic experience in bachelor or master of social work education. Experience with developing and providing didactic lectures and clinical skills training to masters level social work healthcare and mental health clinicians. Experience with online pedagogy and tools. Experience with inter-professional healthcare practice and education. Clinical social work licensure or eligibility for licensure. Practice specialization in one or more of the following areas: Medical/hospital social work Aging palliative care rehabilitation Community health Community mental health Integrated behavioral health care Healthcare evaluation/management Healthcare policy/advocacy Strong knowledge skills and experience in working with diverse students and client/patient populations. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
