Tennyson Center for Children is in search of a Development Coordinatoro help kids and families who may otherwise be forgotten! We need you to join in our vision and passion to serve and positively impact the lives of children across Colorado.


Job Summary and Purpose

Development Coordinator at Tennyson Center for Children will play a critical role in supporting all aspects of Tennysons development and marketing efforts. The position will coordinate Tennysons volunteer program donor gift entry and acknowledgements soliciting and recognizing gifts in kind as well as support various fundraising and marketing campaigns. This position reports directly to the Development and Partnership Manager and works closely with the Data Analyst and Sustainable Gifts Specialist.

Job Functions

  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities and engagement.
  • Manages and maintains ongoing documentation for the volunteer program.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to connect volunteers to philanthropic opportunities as appropriate.
  • Manage gift entry and processing yearend tax notifications and pledge reminders in Raisers Edge database ensuring accurate and timely acknowledgement processes.
  • Manage gift acknowledgement letter program.
  • Assist with improving database accuracy by updating and cleaning data.
  • Assist with internal and external report building.
  • Coordinate Tennysons Operation Giving Program.
  • Attend and support thirdparty fundraisers.
  • Solicit coordinate acknowledge and track inkind donations.
  • Assist with large projects fundraising events and internal and external communications as needed by team.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for lengthy periods of time during special events.
  • Required to move and inventory a large amount of InKind donations.

Working Conditions

  • Team atmosphere
  • 80100% onsite work is required.
  • Able to work some evening/weekend events as needed (donor dinners donor appreciation events fundraising events etc.).

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related field

  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and preferred experience with CRM programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that allow successful interaction with all areas of the organization and with external clients.
  • Have a record of accomplishment of attentiveness to detail deadlines documentation and timeliness.
  • Valid driver licensure
