1. Collaborates with the principal on teacher development to improve student outcomes at Somerset Middle School. 2. Shares with the principal the responsibility for protecting the health welfare and overall safety of students.3. Collaborates with the administrative team in maintaining culture and climate throughout the student body. 4. Has general supervisory responsibility for student activities student orientation programs and similar activities. 5. Confers with parents teachers counselors and support service personnel to foster student student academic growth.6. Makes recommendations for appropriate revisions within the studentparent handbook.7. Collaborates with the administrative team in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control and security. 8. Provides administrative input to the process of building and maintaining the master schedule and all related schedules.9. Shares responsibility with the administrative team in evaluating teacher classroom performance. 10. Makes recommendations for appropriate revisions of policies and rules affecting faculty and staff life in the school and prepares and maintains the faculty handbook. 11. Assists teachers in the areas of curriculum instruction assessment and data analysis to improve student outcomes and assists in designing professional development to meet these goals.12. Collaborates with the principal in overseeing improvement initiatives. 13. Serves with parents faculty and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities. 14. Chairs and/or cochairs standing committees as directed by the principal. 15. Collaborates with the administrative team in the daily routine of staffing the school including duties and the process of procuring assigning and directing substitute teachers. 16. Collaborates with the principal in budget preparation and monitoring including oversight for all ordering and receiving of supplies and equipment for the grade levels and academic departments within the building.17. Collaborates with the principal to facilitate department meetings.18. Collaborates in the development implementation and evaluation of tier 1 and tier 2 instruction in the classroom. 19. Under the direction of the principal participates in the development of the student academic program. 20. Serves as the administrator in charge as directed in the absence of the principal. 21.
