Position Summary:
The position of Pallet Runner will require the employee to work in all environments operating a powered pallet jack. The main focus is relocating pallets from the dock to the warehouse aisles.
Schedule:
5 Days 8 hour shifts with possibility of overtime (not guaranteed).
This is a contract position ending on August 30 2025.
Essential Functions:
Uses a radio frequency scanner to scan products for pallet identification.
Using a pallet jack relocates pallets into the proper aisles from receiving docks.
Knowledge of RF equipment.
Loading and unloading of product when required.
Operate power equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Removes empty pallets from the selection slots and places them in the designated pallet storage area.
Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast paced physically demanding environment requiring constant walking ascending/descending stairs or pallet jack platform bending reaching lifting and carrying.
Must be able to read write and communicate in English (to read labels pick lists scanners signage company website information related to benefits updates complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions).
Must be self motivated and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells alarms and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup movement or approach of equipment (including forklifts turrets overhead cranes conveyors trucks and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse) mechanical abnormalities and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to work in three temperature zones (grocery zone 15C cooler zone 3 to 8C freezer zone minus 20C).
Must be physically fit and able to repeatedly lift stack pull and carry boxes (up to 80 lbs rare up to 50lbs occasional up to 25lbs occasional less than 25lbs frequent).
Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Exceptional time management skills.
Work well under time pressures.
