A&K Railroad Materials is a leading supplier of new and used railroad track materials. A&K has sales offices and a network of storage and distribution facilities strategically located throughout the United States. Together these offices and inventory locations maintain an extensive and comprehensive inventory of new relay and reconditioned rail and track materials across the nation. We are looking for a dynamic handson individual to help us recruit and hire new talent to join our growing team! The recruiter is responsible for the daily recruiting hiring onboarding and retention activities required to fill open positions and retain staff.
- Identify multiple avenues to source and identify qualified candidates
- Develop a sourcing / networking plan to identify applicants
- Proactively identify new sourcing and networking strategies
- Develop maintain and use social media for candidate networking
- Create post edit and monitor job postings
- Screen and assess candidates
- Recruit potential candidates
- Conduct interviews
- Initiate onboarding process and conduct new hire orientation
- Develop and implement a strategy to improve employee retention
- Proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Clear professional communication both written and spoken
- Highly proficient in social networking activities
- Aggressive and determined to identify and hire qualified candidates
- College degree preferred
- 35 years recruiting experience in manufacturing or other high volume industry
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
